Day of Refreshing – One Day Revival with Kenny Evans

This was certainly a Day of Refreshing and a great revival! Kenny Evans is an evangelist whom you may know from “The American Oldies Show” in Pigeon Forge, TN.  Kenny blessed us with a sermon and a few songs during  morning worship. He doubly blessed us that evening with a concert filled with fun, songs, laughter and his very serious testimony. Wow, what a testimony! If you missed it, check it out now. You will be blessed!

Message: What A Gift (Galatians 5)

The only way to experience genuine freedom is through Jesus Christ. The Good News is not to be put in our pocket and hidden. Everybody needs the Good News and Jesus Christ. We should be ringing out the Good News to all who will listen. Memorial Day is for remembering, rejoicing and ringing out. Christ has set us free (Galatians 5:1).  As Christians, we are no longer ruled by our sinful nature. What a gift!

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.”

Galatians 5:1

Message: Good News for Graduates (1 Samuel 17)

Everybody likes to cheer for the underdog. We root for Indiana Jones against the Nazi. In a newer movie, we root for the Avengers against Thanos. We love to applaud and cheer for the underdog to compete and to win.. We want to see them overcome tremendous obstacles and succeed. But we don’t want to face those obstacles ourselves. We don’t want to be the underdog. Today, you may feel like you are the underdog facing a lot of challenges, adjustments, and uncertainties, Life is like a big giant. You may be graduating high school and facing the giant of college. You might be graduating college and see your opposing giant as grad school. Your giant may simply be a greater responsibility in the workforce.

The story of David and Goliath is the ultimate underdog story. As we walk through this story together, we can learn some principles from David – how he dealt with his giant – so that you learn how to deal with yours. What did David have? How could David face the giant when others couldn’t? God is bigger than any problem you will ever face. That’s the good news! Remember this as you face your giants. The battle is the Lords!

Message: Picking Up the Pieces: Surviving Every-Day Failure (Proverbs 24:16)

We all will fail. We all will fall. It’s going to happen. it’s a part of life. However, failure doesn’t have to be final. The scripture says that “though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again” (Proverbs 24:16).  To deal with failure, you must accept it, learn from it, and get back up and try again! Getting back up applies to all areas of our lives – our career, health, relationships, finances, and most importantly, our spiritual life. Develop the habit of trying again. Don’t discount God’s ability to do the miraculous. The Bible says the wicked stumble when calamity strikes and the righteous rise again. I know you’ve experienced failure. Accept it, learn from it, get up and try again. We only fail when we refuse to get up and try again. The Bible says we all have fallen (Romans 3:23). Everyone one of us. There are none righteous (Romans 3:10). The good news is that God has done for us what is necessary to rescue us from our failure, our sin. He sent His son, Jesus (John 3:16). If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Jesus wants to rescue you today.
