Message: God Can

God can do more that we can think or imagine.

Do you hunger and long for what only God can do? Are you allowing God to work through you? Is there evidence of God’s grace in your life? If you don’t have that hunger and desire, God wants you to have it today. He’s knocking on the door. Things don’t have to stay the same. Whatever doubts you have, just remember that God can.

May we, the church, experience more of God’s power in the future than we have seen in the past!

Prayer: Lord, stretch out your hand and do what only You can do. May your hand be upon us!

The Lord’s hand was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord.

Acts 11:21 NIV

Message: Missing the Mark

Something supernatural from heaven invaded those gathered in the upper room on the day of Pentecost and it changed them forever. What happened? The disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit. That’s what happened. Our greatest need today is for those who know Jesus to experience what the early disciples experienced. If we really want to impact our community, our school, our workplace, we need to be filled with God’s Spirit. 1 Peter 4:11 says, “If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God.”

When was the last time you witnessed someone living their life sold out for Jesus instead of the casual commitment that so many have today? How long has it been since you have been “stirred?” When God speaks, do you listen? The world is looking for evidence that our Christianity is real, that it has made a difference and has changed our lives.

Would you give God, the Holy Spirit, permission to do something supernatural in your heart and life today? If so, get ready. If not, you’re going to miss out.

PRAYER:  Lord, revive your work in me. I don’t want to miss another day without experiencing Your best. Transform me to be the person you have called me to be. Amen.

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.” Acts 2:1-4 (NIV)

Message: God’s Process

All problems come from a 3-letter word, “sin.” John 3:16 is God’s answer to our sin problem. God has a wonderful plan for the lives His followers. Philippians 1:6 tells us that “He who has begun a good work in you will complete it.” God is in the process of making every follower of Jesus into a masterpiece. Like a silversmith refines silver by removing the impurities or dross (Proverbs 25:4-5), God is in the process of refining His followers by removing the impurities or sin from our lives (Isaiah 1:25). God will refine us. He will never let us remain the same. He will keep refining us until we become a masterpiece. It’s difficult (Proverbs 3:12) but God’s process will conform us to the likeness of His Son, and Jesus will be reflected in our lives (Romans 8:29). Maybe you haven’t trusted Jesus as your Savior. God loves you and He wants you to experience His very best. Are you ready to trust today?

“Remove the dross from the silver,
    and a silversmith can produce a vessel;
remove wicked officials from the king’s presence,
    and his throne will be established through righteousness.”

Proverbs 25:4-5
