The Road Less Traveled – Brother Carl McCray
When our lives are not focused where they should be, God will call us out. When we are only concerned about “me, myself and I” God will call us out. When we are living by sight instead of faith, God will call us out. God has called each of us to make a difference where we are planted. If we are not doing that, God will call us out. God wants to use us to make a difference. Making a difference means literally to take a different road, a road less taken by the majority. The world tells us to take the path of less resistance. The world tells us to take the easy way. The reality of the Christian life is the opposite (Matthew 7:13-14 NIV). When following Jesus, there are no shortcuts. Take the road less traveled and settle in for the long haul!
The road less traveled involves….
- A season of preparation (Mark 1:10-11 NIV)
- A season in the dessert (Mark 1:12 NIV)
- Living your life in forward motion (Mark 1:14 NIV)
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Matthew 7:13-14 (NIV)
