The Love Connection (1 Corinthians 13)

Loving God means loving others. The way you demonstrate loving God is the way you love others. Love must be the driving force behind everything that we do. If you want to strengthen your love with the Savior, show more love to others! If we really love others, we will share the Good News with them! Who did you share the Good News with today?

Do you really want to live a life of love as described in 1 Corinthians 13? Ask yourself this question: “‘Am I doing what I’m doing to love others or for my own pleasure?” Is love the driving force of your life, your marriage, work, when you serve?

Watch the video and be blessed!

“You will seek me and find me
when you seek me with all your heart.”

Jeremiah 29:13

Faith and Adventure: Super Glue for Life (Nehemiah 8:1-10)

and Testimony by Aimee Pryse

What is greater and more permanent than Super Glue? A life-long, life-changing connection with God! When that takes place in your life, everything changes. Seek God with all your heart. Start the habit to be in God’s word every day. This is the glue that will hold you together even when things fall apart.

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13 NIV

What is your relationship with God’s word? Do you really want to hear from God? Make the decision to become a student of the scriptures. Spend time in God’s word every day and receive daily nourishment. If you will read God’s word with respect, reverence, and thoughtfulness, God will speak to you. Take it one passage at a time. The objective is NOT to get through the Bible quickly. The goal is to hear what God says and put it into practice. Do you want this year to be about faith and adventure? Then read God’s word. I promise you He will speak!

Blessings,

Faith and Adventure: Living Under the Influence (Acts 8:14-17)

God responds to faith. When we walk by faith, it is and will be a great adventure! God does the impossible and He can do the miraculous in and through us. The Spirit-filled life is not intended to be an option. It is an essential part of following the Lord. We need to experience the filling of the Holy Spirit if we desire to push back the darkness, if we want to make a difference in the Kingdom, blaze a path for others to follow, and impact our community and others around us. We need to be filled with God’s Holy Spirit.

What does it mean to be filled with the Holy Spirit?

Being filled means…

  1. He’s getting more of you. There’s no off limits!
  2. You’re’ living under the influence.
  3. It’s an ongoing experience.

God’s plan is for His people to receive Him and surrender to Him every day. Does the Holy Spirit have control? Maybe it’s time to get serious and ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit. Ask the Lord to fill you – to rule and to reign every portion of your life.

“But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.” John 14:26 RSV

Blessings!

Faith and Adventure: Following Jesus 365

There is a God. God loves you very much and He is good to us! God desires for you and I to know Him, to make contact with Him and to remain in contact with Him. God wants us to understand Him in a more powerful, personal, and dynamic way than we did in 2017. We all need to have a consuming passion to know Jesus more (more than just head knowledge). It’s about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Do you know Jesus? Are you following Jesus 365? Let’s get to know Him better this year!

Challenges for the new year:

  1. Begin the new year with a commitment to reconnect with the King.
  2. Read the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John)
  3. Watch movies about Jesus’ life
  4. Take advantage of your spiritual opportunities (Sunday School, small group Bible study, etc.)
  5. Follow Jesus’ example

Watch the video and be blessed!
