Message: The Key to Everything – Faith

Salvation cannot be earned. Sin separates of from God. If we want to be right with God, God made a way for that to happen by the giving of His perfect son who died on the cross for our sins. Through Jesus’  sacrificial death and resurrection, we have the opportunity to be forgiven, to be reconciled, and to be accepted by God. The key to open all those doors is our faith. God wants us to believe in Him and trust Him with every detail of our lives.

Put your faith in action. What is your faith leading you to do? Will you give God your very best today?

Message: The Prodigal Son and the Father’s Love (Luke 15:11-32)

The Bible story about the prodigal son reveals a side of God’s character that most people don’t know about – His love. The Father’s love does not depend on how good you are or what you do. Also, the Father’s love for all of us never changes! Listen and be blessed!

September 2, 2018 Morning Worship Service and Observance of The Lord’s Supper | Pastor Carl McCray

Special music: Jerry Shepherd singing “Wonderful Merciful Savior”

Message: Being Together is Better

As we observe the Lord’s Supper with a spirit of reverence, we celebrate and rejoice together for everything God has done for us. We aught to be overwhelmed with the deepest sense of awe that God would send His Son to pay the penalty of our sins. As a follower of Christ, we are to partake of The Lord’s Supper in the remembrance of the Lord. As we do, we are proclaiming His redemptive death on our behalf.

The death of Jesus reveals:

  1. The awfulness of sin (1 Corinthians 15:3)
  2. The greatness of God’s love for sinners (John 3:16, Romans 5:8)
  3. The value of a lost soul

As we consider the death of Jesus, there is one thing we cannot do. We cannot leave Jesus in the tomb. Remember, He has risen and is in Heaven!

“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29 NIV

Message: Pledging Our Allegiance

On July Fourth, we are reminded that our patriots made a bold declaration, paid a high price, and reaped a great reward – freedom.  In scripture we are taught to fight the good fight and finish the race, but not everyone is committed or concerned.  There’s a high price to pay for following after Jesus. Like our patriots, followers of Jesus will reap a great reward – freedom from the bondage of sin.

Think about that day you made a bold declaration and claimed Jesus as your Savior and Lord. Have you drifted? God is inviting you to repent and renew your commitment. Maybe you have never made that bold declaration. Do you know the gift of God is eternal life (John 3;16)? The good news is Jesus will save you, forgive you, and give you a new life! Make a bold declaration and pledge your allegiance to Jesus.

“… Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8: 31-32 (NIV)
