Message: The First Step is the Hardest (Luke 15:11-32)

Sermon on the Parable of the Lost Son

Special Music by Kaylee McCray and Jamie Isaacs

Is is possible to know God and yet be far away from Him? Are you like the prodigal son in the “far country?” Where is the “far country”, you ask? The far country isn’t very far away, it’s one step outside of God’s will. Sin leads to more sin, and you will reap what you sow (Galatians 6:7).

God loves you enough to let you go, and God loves you enough to welcome you back home. God is calling you home. The first step is the hardest.

Message: The Prodigal Son and the Father’s Love (Luke 15:11-32)

The Bible story about the prodigal son reveals a side of God’s character that most people don’t know about – His love. The Father’s love does not depend on how good you are or what you do. Also, the Father’s love for all of us never changes! Listen and be blessed!

Message: Imagine Forgiveness

Today we will look at the parable of the prodigal son found in Luke 15. A parable is an earthly story with a heavenly meaning. Jesus taught parables to explain God’s heart. This parable is about a son who desperately needed the power of forgiveness in his life. In this parable, we will learn about a son, the father, an older brother, and forgiveness. We will look at some truths and how they apply to our lives.

I pray you realize that the Lord is a kind, compassionate, and forgiving Father. Imagine forgiveness! There is power in forgiveness. There are blessings in forgiveness. When you come to your senses and return to the Lord, He will come to you with forgiveness and compassion. The Father God wants you home!

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32 NIV
