Message: Attitude is Everything

Your attitude impacts every part of your life. It can make you or break you, make you friends or make you enemies, make you happy or miserable, a success or a failure. Luke 6:45 tells us, “A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.” In other words, your attitude reflects the real you.

Your attitude also reveals your choices. Do you focus on the positive or the negative? The good or the bad? A bad attitude is like a flat tire. You can change it! You can choose to blame your circumstances on your boss, the stock market, your job, etc. OR you can choose to see everything in a good light. The choice is yours. You can choose to look for the good in each day. You can choose to speak positive words (Ephesians 4:29). You can choose to take charge of your thoughts — garbage in/garbage out or good in/good out (Philippians 4:8).

Is your attitude where it needs to be? If not, there is good news! You can ask for forgiveness today and pray for a Godly attitude. There are so many reasons to have a good attitude. The choice is yours. Which way will you focus?

May we apply the truth of God’s word to our attitudes!

Blessings,

Message: Picking Up the Pieces: Surviving Every-Day Failure (Proverbs 24:16)

We all will fail. We all will fall. It’s going to happen. it’s a part of life. However, failure doesn’t have to be final. The scripture says that “though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again” (Proverbs 24:16).  To deal with failure, you must accept it, learn from it, and get back up and try again! Getting back up applies to all areas of our lives – our career, health, relationships, finances, and most importantly, our spiritual life. Develop the habit of trying again. Don’t discount God’s ability to do the miraculous. The Bible says the wicked stumble when calamity strikes and the righteous rise again. I know you’ve experienced failure. Accept it, learn from it, get up and try again. We only fail when we refuse to get up and try again. The Bible says we all have fallen (Romans 3:23). Everyone one of us. There are none righteous (Romans 3:10). The good news is that God has done for us what is necessary to rescue us from our failure, our sin. He sent His son, Jesus (John 3:16). If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Jesus wants to rescue you today.

What If I Took Control of My Money (Proverbs 13:16

Pastor Carl McCray continues his “What if” sermons. Today’s topic is “What if I took control of my money.”  First of all, you need to realize that it’s not really your money.  It’s given to you by God, and you are a steward of what He has given to you.  Most of the time, it’s not a matter of having enough, it’s a matter of not managing it well.  Once you get your financial means under control, you will experience peace and contentment, and you will begin to make a difference in the lives of others.

Watch and listen as Pastor Carl shares what he has learned from following Jesus over the years about money.

Blessing!
