Message: The Secret to Victory
Victory begins with knowing who we are in Christ. Who are we in Christ? Who am I in Christ? Christians are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). If you are a Christian, you have been forgiven and you have been born again. Christ lives in you. Knowing who we are leads us to act according to who we are. We have the potential every day to do good. Our destiny is to be like Christ. In Christ, victory is our destiny! Why is it that so few really experience that? Because of the devil. The devil has convinced us that we cannot walk consistently every day in victory. Many are not convinced that God can change us. God is able! God can forgive and God can change you. Change is what the Christian life is all about. Everyday, we need to count and call on the Lord!
If you are not in Christ, if you are not a new creation, today is the day.

Message: Pledging Our Allegiance
On July Fourth, we are reminded that our patriots made a bold declaration, paid a high price, and reaped a great reward – freedom. In scripture we are taught to fight the good fight and finish the race, but not everyone is committed or concerned. There’s a high price to pay for following after Jesus. Like our patriots, followers of Jesus will reap a great reward – freedom from the bondage of sin.
Think about that day you made a bold declaration and claimed Jesus as your Savior and Lord. Have you drifted? God is inviting you to repent and renew your commitment. Maybe you have never made that bold declaration. Do you know the gift of God is eternal life (John 3;16)? The good news is Jesus will save you, forgive you, and give you a new life! Make a bold declaration and pledge your allegiance to Jesus.
“… Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8: 31-32 (NIV)
