The Missing Ingredient (Romans 12:1-2)
Good News Testimony by Tim Bell
Every Christian has a testimony of faith, hope, healing, salvation, and restoration found in Jesus Christ. Thank you Tim Bell for sharing your personal testimony today about the Good News you found in Jesus Christ!
What is the missing ingredient?
Why aren’t Christians making more of a moral and spiritual impact on our world? Why do some churches have empty pews on Sunday mornings? Why is that many people in God’s church have never personally introduced someone to Jesus? Why do many Christians have time to watch T.V., but have no time for prayer or Bible study? What is the missing ingredient? The answer is commitment. So many people are committed to things but not committed to God. Pastor Carl McCray shared what he believes Christians should be committed to.
- God’s people need to be committed to the Lord. Jesus is 100% committed to us (John 3:16 NIV), and He expects us to be 100% committed to Him (Mark 12:30 NIV).
- God’s people need to be committed to their marriage (Ephesians 5:22-25 NIV).
- God’s people need to be committed to our church (Hebrews 10:25 NIV). If you love the Lord, why wouldn’t you want to go to church? How many times has God had a word for you and you missed it? If you love Jesus and know Him, no on should need to beg you to go to His church.
On a scale of 1 to 10, where is your level of commitment to the Lord? If you are not where you know you should be, God forgives!
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” Mark 12:30 NIV
