Join Us Easter Sunday!

Where:   Burgin Baptist Church, 433 East Main, Burgin, KY

Date:   April 16, 2017

Time:   11:00AM

What can I expect at your Worship Service?

Our services last about an hour and feature a time of singing and a practical biblical message from our Pastor.

Do You Have Group Studies On Sunday?

Burgin has small group Bible studies (also known as Sunday School) during the 10:00am hour. These classes are arranged by age and life stage. Feel free to check out any class, even on your first visit.

Do You have Anything For My Children On Sundays?

Burgin has an incredible ministry to children both young and old. In addition to age-graded classes offered at the 10:00am hour, we also provide nursery at all services and age-appropriate Children’s Church at the 11:00am hour for toddlers through 6th grade.

What Should I Wear?

There is no dress code at Burgin. We are a ‘come as you are’ place. Wear what makes your feel comfortable. We care more about you than what you wear.

If you have more questions, feel free to ask any one of our greeters. Hope to see you soon!

Operation Christmas Child

2016 State Missions Prayer Guide

Read 1 Peter 3:15-17 as you pray this week. Take this passage to heart personally and on behalf of missions in Kentucky as you pray for ministries across our state.

Sunday:  Pray for Refuge Louisville and other ministries to internationals in Kentucky.  Pray for programs such as English classes, citizenship classes, kid’s clubs, youth mentorship, adopt-a-family outreach, computer classes and more. Pray for opportunities to build relationships and share the gospel through these efforts.

Monday:  Pray for Impact Ministry in Hopkinsville, God’s Appalachian Partnership in McDowell, and similar Kentucky ministries. Pray for volunteers who share a gospel witness as they distribute food, clothing, hygiene items, diapers, school supplies, household items and much more. Pray that God will meet spiritual needs through the provision of physical needs.

Tuesday:  Pray for Christian Women’s Job Corps in Hopkinsville (Arlene Miller and Linda Moore, co-directors) and Louisville (Kimberly Robinson, director). Pray for the job and life skills classes that are taught through CWJC. Pray for the Bible studies and mentor relationships that make CWJC much more than a jobs program. Pray for the development of more CWJC sites in Kentucky.

Wednesday: Pray for BREAK and other ministries which share the gospel with children in public schools through an off-campus program. Pray for the volunteers who provide Bible stories, Bible memory, music, and activities in a safe, Christ-centered environment.  Also pray for KBC campus ministry efforts to help churches reach students in the 12/24 window (ages 12-24) by mobilizing students to engage their campuses as missionaries.

Thursday:  Pray for the Louisville Rescue Mission and other ministries that help homeless and hurting people. Pray for those who struggle with addictions and for long term change as people build new lives with a biblical foundation. Pray for opportunities to share Christ through emergency services such as food, clothing, hot showers, laundry, mail, and storage.

Friday:  Give thanks for children and leaders who participated this year in Mission Adventure for Kentucky Kids. Pray for the gospel seeds sown by children as they prayerwalked, participated in local ministries, and led activities designed to help children reach children. Pray for leaders and volunteers now preparing for MAKK 2017, for the children who will go on these mission trips, and for the communities where they’ll minister.

Saturday:  Pray for ministries to troubled youth through residential programs and foster care across Kentucky. Pray for families to become foster parents and for churches to recognize the need for ministry to students in residential programs. Pray especially for the ministries of Sunrise Children’s Services and for Kentucky Baptists to respond to the foster care crisis in Kentucky.

Sunday:  Pray for more Kentucky Baptists to share the gospel by taking a hobby or interest and turning it into a mission field. Pray for the LIFEproject effort of the KBC to help churches fulfill the Great Commission and reach communities with the gospel.
